Speech, not social post text
The input is a video file containing spoken audio. The output follows that speech. This is not a tool for writing Instagram descriptions, hashtags or LinkedIn post copy.
Capgen transcribes the audio in an uploaded video and places words on a timeline. Preview those captions with your footage, choose a readable style, then export a captioned video or download an SRT subtitle file.

Timed words let a highlight follow the speaker. Listen to the preview at the original speaking pace: a phrase that looks clear while paused may be too dense during playback.
Background music, overlapping speakers, accents and unfamiliar names can produce transcription errors. Check quotations, numbers and names against the recording. Automatic output is a draft, not a guarantee of accuracy.
A video export contains the visible caption styling. SRT is a separate plain-text file with cue times; it does not carry font choices, highlight colors or animation. Keep the original recording as your source.
New accounts start with five video credits. Review plans and upload limits before preparing a large file.
